Residential Moving for Tacoma Homes
From Craftsman bungalows in the North End to view homes in Northeast Tacoma and newer builds in University Place, every Tacoma house moves a little differently. Our Tacoma residential movers bring the crew size, trucks, and protection each home needs, up to six movers and two trucks for large houses.
“The guys were super professional and did such a great job moving all of my stuff (2 trucks worth) safely to my new house.”

Moving the Homes Tacoma Is Known For
Craftsman and historic homes
Original woodwork, narrow stairs, and small doorways in the North End, Stadium, and North Slope get padding and careful planning before anything moves.
Hillside and view homes
Steep driveways and front stairs in Northeast Tacoma and along the waterfront mean planning where the truck parks and how the crew carries.
Newer homes in the suburbs
New floors and fresh paint in University Place, Lakewood, and Puyallup get floor runners and door frame protection from the start.
Garages, basements and sheds
These always hold more than expected. Point them out at the estimate so the crew and truck are sized for them.
Setting Up Your New Home
A move isn’t done when the truck is empty. Our crews reassemble beds and furniture, put boxes in the right rooms, and place furniture where you want it, so you can start living in the house that night.
“They put all the stuff in the right rooms and took the time to stack boxes so I could access them.”

Residential Moving Questions
How many movers does my house need?
Most 3-bedroom homes move with four movers and one truck. Larger homes may need two trucks and five or six movers. We’ll recommend the right crew at your estimate.
Is there anything you can’t move?
Movers can’t transport hazardous materials like gasoline, propane tanks, or paint thinner. Plan to give those away or dispose of them before moving day.
Do you take apart and reassemble furniture?
Yes, on every move. Beds, dining tables, and anything that needs to come apart to fit through a door.
Can you pack our house too?
Yes. See our Tacoma packing services.
What Customers Say
Real Google reviews from customers of our Tacoma office.
Moving day “My movers rocked!”
Our favorite movers! We have moved 8 times and we had our share of difficulties except when we were moved by Puget Sound. They were efficient, professional, let us know if there were breakages with an apology. They were fantastic!
Ozzy and his crew were wonderful during our recent move. They were on time, worked hard, had great attitudes, and made the whole process easy… I honestly didn’t know moving could be this painless.
