Tacoma Apartment Movers for Walk-Ups, Condos and New Buildings
Tacoma apartments come in every shape: brick walk-ups in the Stadium District, units above shops in Proctor and 6th Ave, new mid-rises near UW Tacoma, and condos at Point Ruston. Our Tacoma apartment movers plan for the building you’re leaving and the one you’re moving into.
“This was a hard job, down 4 flights of stairs with heavy furniture.”

Walk-Ups and Older Apartment Buildings
Many of Tacoma’s older apartment buildings have no elevator, narrow stairwells, and tight landings. On a third- or fourth-floor walk-up, a third mover makes a real difference: two carry while one stays on the truck. We pad railings and door frames and take furniture apart when it won’t make the turn.
Newer Buildings Downtown and at Point Ruston
Newer buildings usually trade stairs for paperwork. Send us your move-in packet and we’ll take care of our side:
- Elevator reservation and pads
- Certificate of insurance
- Loading zone or garage access
- Set move-in hours
Apartment Moving Tips for Tacoma Renters
Count the flights
Tell us how many flights of stairs are at each end. It’s the biggest factor in how long an apartment move takes.
Check the street
Stadium and Hilltop blocks are mostly street parking. If your building has a loading zone, let us know when you book.
Measure your sofa
Older stairwells can be tight. Measuring big pieces ahead of time lets the crew bring the right tools.
Combine with storage
We can move a condo and a storage unit into your new home in the same day.
Apartment Moving Questions
Do you charge extra for stairs?
No stair fees. Stairs affect how long the move takes, and we build that into your estimate.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. Send us your building’s requirements and we’ll send the certificate to your property manager before move day.
Can you move just my furniture?
Yes. If you’d rather handle the boxes, we can send a crew for furniture only.
Do you move condos too?
Yes. Condos move just like apartments, and we handle both the building rules and the carry.
What Customers Say
Real Google reviews from customers of our Tacoma office.
Condo + storage unit “Antonio and his crew did an amazing job with our move. We moved a 2 bed condo and a 20x10 storage unit into a new house and everything was super smooth. They were attentive and quick with all requests.”
Excellent communication and very accommodating when my timeline changed. The movers were courteous, careful, and efficient.
Second time working with Puget Sound Moving and if I ever have the misfortune of having to move again I would hire these guys in a New York minute... They are so efficient, fast, and so kind and professional.
